- Applications for admission in 2020 are open until 31 July 2019 for all undergraduate programmes.
4 May 2019
- The UCT Open Day will be held from 10:00–15:00 on Upper Campus.
Open Day is a good opportunity to access important information about the application process. (It’s also a good time for younger siblings to start thinking about UCT opportunities!)
31 July 2019
- All undergraduate applications close. We do not accept late applications.
- Applications for student housing close.
- Deadline for writing the Health Sciences NBTs and the submission of the PR.
- Preferred date for submission of BAS portfolio for early consideration.

Applications open in April every year and you should try to submit an application as soon as possible after that date.
Application Fees
An application fee must be paid for every application, except in the case of most graduates of UCT. Please refer to the fee structure for more information.
Submitting results and documents
Current learners at school must make sure that all examination results from Grade 11 until September of grade 12 are submitted. Failure to submit these results may result in delays.
Transferring students should submit all transcripts and academic records as early as possible.
