Stellenbosch University Postgraduate Online Application 2020
About Stellenbosch University Postgraduate Online Application
The Postgraduate Skills Development Support section of the PGO runs a programme that provides information about and access to opportunities and resources at SU that can assist postgraduate students in their efforts to develop and enhance the skills they will require to complete their postgraduate studies and research.
For this reason the Postgraduate Skills Development Development Programme has established a service to:
Assist postgraduate students in:
– Understanding the research process
– Establishing which skills they need to develop
– Finding the correct service provider on campus to address these needs
Offer courses and events specifically for postgraduate skills development, for example the research orientation day, dissertation writing workshops, grant writing workshops, postgraduate support groups etc.
Stellenbosch University’s academic year follows the calendar year.
Taught postgraduate programmes usually commence in February each year with a limited number of programmes commencing in July. Where a postgraduate programme consists of coursework it is important for candidates who have been admitted to arrive in time for the commencement of the programme. Classes usually commence in late January or early February (or late July). Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
New registrations for masters (by research) and doctoral programmes must be finalised by the end of March or in some cases by the end of July each year.
Acquaint yourself with the postgraduate programme offering at SU. Ensure that you meet the minimum admission requirements of your programme of interest.
