FEDISA Application Form 2019/2020
FEDISA was created to deliver more than seamstresses and pattern-makers to the world of fashion. FEDISA graduates can today be found in an astounding array of careers across the globe. These range from working for Marchessa and Diane von Furstenburg in New York to Christopher Kane in London and Haikure in Milan.
There are designers and buyers, editors and stylists, visual merchandisers, fashion technologists, and costume archivists. The list of local and international employment opportunities simply keeps growing for these talented and committed graduates. FEDISA has also significantly contributed to exporting some amazing talent into the African continent, with Temitope Williams – FEDISA Graduate 2009 launching her own teaching academy in Lagos, Nigeria recently.

In order for applicants to be considered for all current and future programmes offered by FEDISA, they must comply with certain minimum requirements.
South African Nationals
National Senior Certificate with either: Endorsement OR Matriculation Exemption.
O-levels (or international equivalent) are applicable for entry into a South African Higher Education Institution such as FEDISA. Passes of at least five different subjects of the IGCSE and HIGCSE study levels, of which at least two are HIGCSE level subjects. A pass in the language of instruction at the institute – English specific pass grade: IGCSE: A, B or C OR HIGCSE: 1, 2 or 3
Required Secondary School
No specific subjects are required at secondary school level for admission to FEDISA. While art, design and mathematics are an advantage they are not a requirement.
In addition to the above, admission to all programmes is subject to an entrance evaluation and a rigorous selection process. Meeting the minimum academic and language requirements will not necessarily ensure admission to study at FEDISA.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) FEDISA subscribes to “Recognition of Prior Learning”, which will be applicable to mature applicants (22 years +), which will be evaluated by means of a practical assessment, portfolio submission and interview.

South African applicants: ZAR 482
Foreign Nationals: In addition to the above application fee, foreign applicants must pay an additional ZAR 2140.00 administration fee.
